Why is setting boundaries important?

Since childhood, we are conditioned to either comply or confront. In either case, the bond gets ruptured. In order, to maintain the sanctity of the group, we let go of the things that truly bother us. We suppress our emotions, and put up a pleasant face when in reality we are boiling with anger. With time, these unexpressed things turn into resentments and affect our emotional as well as physical health. It results in burnout and affects the team dynamics. In today’s AI driven world, it is imperative to be emotionally intelligent and boundary setting is one concrete step towards it.
